UN Global Compact Network India (UNGCNI), in line with IACD 2022 theme “UNCAC at 20: Uniting the World Against Corruption”, organized a panel discussion titled “Turning the Tide Against Corruption – Industries and Youth Action in Agenda 2030” and a signature campaign themed “Taking pledge -- Say No to Corruption” on 9th December 2022 to create awareness and bring ownership among the industry’s leaders and youth for curbing corruption.
Around 100 business leaders from the corporate sector, healthcare organizations, academia, law agencies, UN organizations and over 140 youth from the renowned universities/colleges of India had participated.
This year, in pursuit of Government's (GoI) vision to make India a New India by the year 2022, UN Global Compact Network India ( UN GCNI ) in collaboration with a Maharatna company of India ( Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited - BHEL), on the occasion of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week -2022, organized a roundtable discussion on “Cultivating a culture of integrity in business Leadership practices: Recipe for faster development” to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in business and public life. Besides this, UN GCNI launched a week-long awareness campaign on social media from 27th October, 2022 to 6th November, 2022.
The Senior Leadership from Govt / Ministry, PSUs, Corporate sector, CSO, Academia, and Anti-Corruption organizations had participated and contributed to creating awareness against corruption through robust vigilance and business integrity.
