As you are aware that the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic has affected educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, universities, and colleges. Like many countries in the world, India followed the path of Lockdown leading to the closure of primary, secondary, and tertiary schooling which leads to cancellation of exams, deferring admission entrance, etc to stem the spread of COVID-19 through non-pharmaceutical interventions and preventive measures such as social-distancing and self-isolation. As the days pass by with no immediate solution to stop the outbreak of Covid-19, school and university closures will not only have a short-term impact on the continuity of learning for more than 285 million young learners in India but also engender far-reaching economic and societal consequences.

Recognizing this imperative, under Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), UN GCNI is organizing Manthan 2020, a unique competition to understand the COVID -19 impact on education sector with Atal Innovation Mission ( a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog ), AIU, AICTE, UGC & UNESCO as Strategic Partner & KPMG India as Knowledge Partner. The theme of the competition is 'Responsible Management Education in a Post COVID World: Emerging Innovative Practices in Management Schools'.

The objective is to understand the impact of the COVID and bring out the best and most innovative ideas and solutions to the ground by the future entrepreneurs and budding managers. It will also provide an opportunity to showcase one's leadership skills among the students and faculty along with a creative professional Prowess. Besides, the Competition will enable them to showcase their imagination & creativity for the scenario post-COVID-19.
