SDGs urge business practices worldwide, to align their operations with holistic sustainable initiatives. India’s landmark CSR Regulation has many thematic overlaps with the SDGs and thus, India is in a unique position to systematically
channel its CSR towards SDGs. UN Global Compact Network India is organizing its second SDGs Summit on the crucial theme of “Leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
for SDGs” to provide a platform for insightful discussion on how CSR can be integrated with the SDGs.
The intent of the SDGs Summit 2018 is to assess the impact created by business organizations in India through their CSR activities to achieve SDGs. This is focused on immediate and effective action including channelizing/prioritizing CSR effort and leveraging existing partnerships for activities on SDGs. In this regard, the summit will focus on:
